I have found Dr Quinton to be the most approachable , helpful and considerate doctor I have ever encountered. He exudes confidence and enthusiasm and is in no way vague when giving you a concise and VERY understandable summary of your condition.
In 2004 after being ill for over 11 years and my GP insisting I was suffering from depression, I was diagnosed with a large Pituitay tumour that had grown up between my optic nerves and all the other unpleasant effects a tumour presents , also a tumour on the meninges and Multiple Sclerosis. Understandably I was feeling quite unwell by then , Dr Q's positive attitude reassured myself and family that I would improve after surgery.A few months later I was worried about having 6 weeks of follow-up Radiotherapy. Dr Q wrote me a reassuring letter explaining the pros and cons of having the treatment. After 12 months I'd improved dramatically and have been seeing him for regular reviews for the past 7 years.I trust Dr Quinton implicity.
Oh -- and he's very pleasant.
I have only seen Dr. Quinton twice so far but on both occasions he explained everything to me and I did not feel rushed as can sometimes happen with a Hospital Consultation. He is the only doctor I've come across who appears to do all the tests required for a proper diagnoses before the first consultation; which seems to me a more productive use of NHS services, doctors and patients time.
In seeing Dr.Quinton I feel I am being given a chance to dramatically improve my general health.
Basically he listens, believes and understands!
I saw DR.QUINTON for the first time in September, and i have to say, that i was immediately at ease in his presence, and he explained in detail my ailment and further treatment to come. I would have no qualms in recommending him to others, being trusting of him completely. He was happy to listen to any questions i had, giving clear and helpful answers. I never felt rushed at all during my time with him.
Dr Quinton had a friendly and professional approach. The consultation was informative and searching. I valued the oportunity of seeing the result of my MRI scan, and the pituitary cyst which it revealed.
I have confidence in Dr Quinton ansthe futre care which I will recieve from the department.
